Creating a very basic BI environment for testing purposes

 Hi all,

 

I am looking to create an very basic BI environment, or use an open source application, for training purposes. 

 

At first we tried to use the Yurbi application (http://wiki.yurbi.com/) but this is a reporting tool and due to the limitation of this tool, we are not able to manipulate the data source and ELT process can not be performed.

 

We have very limited experience is development (but extensive experience in testing). We are finding it very difficult to find this information on the internet.

 

Any assistance would be great.
