Trying to Defining the Next Decade

How does a conference stay relevant while entering its 10th year?

In 2007 when we hosted the first The Finance and Investment Forum event in Cass Business School in London the data centre and cloud industry was still, in a sense, in it’s infancy. Even then few predicted not only the sector expansion but the technological advances and energy innovation that would come to recent prominence.

The European market for data centre services has risen 200% since the first Finance and Investment Forum. As global cloud and datacentre markets continue to bloom the sector is set to be discussed in detail as it is every year at the 10th annual event in London.

This has been a period of unpreceded growth for the industry. The stock price of a leading player Equinix is up 500% in the last decade, illustrating how transformative this period has been. The question for us is how to stay relevant in this new fast pace era. For this we have two key areas of interest

Financial Institutions

The Finance and Investment Forum 2017 will be home to speakers from major players in finance such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, BNP Paribas, ING, Jeffries and many more. These institutions and their insight will help sculpt the programme to look toward the next ten years.

A high number of key investors in the sector will be present, as well as many looking to invest for the first time, and coming from a variety of investors from Private Equity to property funds to pension funds to Venture Capital.

Start-ups

As the industry enters a new era the space for invention is even greater. The event will provide a special ‘Start-up Showcase Session’ to see where the future of the sector lies. We are looking for exciting and pioneering start-ups to contact us for a chance to present what they think will revolutionise the market.

This highly regarded event will global attendees will allow the selected start-ups to meet with an engaged and high level audience of investors and finance experts, real estate investors, private equity players, hedge funds, and VCs all keen to diversify and exploit growth in cloud.

FIF London 2017 provides the ideal platform for budding cloud, data centre and hosting start-ups to connect with the right people to move their projects forward dramatically. The event is widely regarded as the place to take the temperature of the UK and global market while offering insights on future opportunities.

Top speakers and insiders will explore this exciting time for expansion. The forum aims to sustain its reputation for deep content and market intelligence, rare and unique access between investors and businesses seeking investment, and creating an annual marketplace for all players engaged in the multi-billion dollar datacentre and cloud growth sector.
