Cardinal Glass Industries Expands its MicroStrategy Deployment to Improve Reporting and Analysis Capabilities

MicroStrategy Dashboards Provide Rapid Insights into Critical Business Data

McLean, Va., May 27, 2010 -- MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that Cardinal Glass Industries has selected MicroStrategy to enhance its reporting and analysis capabilities. Cardinal Glass is a recognized leader in residential glass applications, magnetron sputtering, and glass research and development.

A MicroStrategy customer since 2005, Cardinal Glass recently adopted MicroStrategy as its BI enterprise standard. With its expanded deployment, Cardinal Glass will use MicroStrategy to improve manufacturing plant quality by analyzing performance metrics and ranking each plant according to goal attainment. Plant Managers, Production Supervisors, and engineers at Cardinal Glass will run MicroStrategy-based reports and dashboards that help them analyze manufacturing processes, track financial information, and make decisions to improve plant operations and productivity.

MicroStrategy’s dashboards are built for high performance, providing rapid access to business data in an easy-to-understand format. Large volumes of data can be displayed and understood in ways that cannot be accomplished with standard graph and table formats. MicroStrategy also offers a library of advanced visualizations that present data in a highly graphical and interactive manner to augment data comprehension and enhance decision making.

“Our plant managers now have easy-to-use information dashboards and robust analytics to influence behavior on the plant floor and enable them to meet production goals,” said Mike Crane, Manager of Database and Web Technologies at Cardinal Glass. “MicroStrategy provides our end users with exciting new capabilities that help them to make critical decisions about plant performance and operations.”

“We are delighted that Cardinal Glass has selected MicroStrategy to expand its enterprise BI applications,” said Sanju Bansal, COO of MicroStrategy. “Leading manufacturers rely on the insights gained from using MicroStrategy’s reporting and analytical capabilities to drive manufacturing quality, streamline production and engineering processes, identify trends in margins and gross profits, and impact global and target account growth.”
